Hat-trick for Merlier, Söderqvist won the Tour de Hongrie

Belgian sprinter Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step) crossed the finish line first on the decisive Balatonalmádi–Veszprém stage of the 2026 Tour de Hongrie, claiming his third stage victory in the race. Despite a crash, the general classification was won by Sweden’s Jakob Söderqvist (Lidl-Trek). Erik Fetter (Team United Shipping) took the podium in the red jersey, while Attila Valter (Bahrain Victorious) won the white jersey.

Jakob Söderqvist (Lidl-Trek) won the chaotic 4th stage of the 47th Tour de Hongrie, taking the lead in the general classification.

Stage 4 of Tour de Hongrie has been shortened

Due to rainy weather conditions, the queen stage of the Tour de Hongrie between Mohács and Pécs will be shortened by 41 kilometers. The start time has been changed to 13:00 (CET).
