Cosnefroy triumphed in Paks

The chaotic 206-kilometer stage from Szarvas to Paks was won by Benoit Cosnefroy (UAE Team Emirates), one of the race’s top contenders, who also took the lead in the general classification.

Merlier won the opening stage of Tour de Hongrie

The opening stage of the 47th Tour de Hongrie ended in a bunch sprint. On the 143-kilometer route between Gyula and Békéscsaba, Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step) won ahead of Juan Sebastian Molano (UAE Team Emirates) and Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain Victorious). Merlier also took the lead in the general classification.

Tour de Hongrie 2026 started with a team presentation in Gyula

The teams competing in the 47th Tour de Hongrie were introduced to the public on May 12 at the foot of Gyula Castle. The ProSeries-category race begins on May 13, with 112 riders from 19 teams participating.
