9 WorldTeams, 9 ProTeams, 3 Continental Teams and the National Team of Hungary will participate in the event.
We can be getting used to the fact that Hungary welcomes world-class cyclists every year. Tour de Hongrie became a ProSeries event in 2023, but the startlist can hardly reach a higher quality than last year. The biggest stars came to Hungary to prepare for the Tour de France, including Dutch sprinters Dylan Groenewegen and Fabio Jakobsen. Their respective wins in France prove that they chose well.
Dylan Groenewegen wins Stage 4 (Tour de Hongrie 2022)
Groenewegen and Jakobsen will have a rematch this year, as they are both registered on the provisional startlist of Tour de Hongrie. Nor Soudal Quick-Step, neither Jayco AlUla are the only WorldTeams who are back though. A total of nine WorldTeams will participate in the 44th Tour de Hongrie, including Trek – Segafredo, Alpecin – Deceuninck, Bahrain Victorious, BORA – hansgrohe, Team DSM, UAE Team Emirates and the reigning champions, INEOS Grenadiers.
Fabio Jakobsen wins Stage 3 (Tour de Hongrie 2022)
It is a great pleasure for cycling in our country that after 2019, there will be a Hungarian Continental Team in the peloton again! Epronex – Hungary Cycling Team took part in our race in 2016 and 2017, they are coming back for the third time. The National Team of Hungary will also participate, and other Hungarian cyclists will take part as well, such as Barnabás Peák (Human Powered Health), Péter Kusztor (Team Novo Nordisk), Márton Dina (ATT Investments), Zoltán Lepold and Olivier More-Gosselin (Sofer – Savini Due – OMZ).
