The team presentation of the 45th Tour de Hongrie was held at Szent István Park in Hajdúszoboszló. The fight for the yellow jersey begins on 8 May.
At the team presentation broadcast live by national television M4 Sport, 119 competitors from eight WorldTeams, eight ProTeams, three Continental Teams and the Hungarian national team paid their respects to be the first to greet the Hungarian fans.
At the venue, the presenter, Dávid Székely, and the main organizer, Károly Eisenkrammer, greeted the gathering. Following the production of the Vuelta SE Passion Dance Group, the distinctive jerseys of the Tour de Hongrie 2024 were unveiled. As we could see it in recent years, the white jersey goes to the best Hungarian competitor, the red to the leader of the mountains classification, the green to the first in the points classification, and the yellow to the overall leader.
After that, the main role went to the teams: the biggest stars of the field and the Hungarian riders were both greeted with loud applause by the hundreds of spectators visiting the venue. The first two world champion participants of Tour de Hongrie, Mark Cavendish and Peter Sagan were especially popular. At the end of the team presentation, the two superstars stayed on the stage for a public press conference, where they shared their thoughts about the race, their objectives for the year, and each other as well.
The 45th Tour de Hongrie starts from Karcag on May 8, before reaching Hajdúszoboszló, Tokaj, Kazincbarcika, Gyöngyös-Kékestető, Budapest, Etyek, Siófok, and the finish line in Pécs on 12 May.
