5th Tour de Hongrie

The first 5-day long edition of the race was dominated by the debuting Italians.

Winner of the 4th Tour de Hongrie: Vasco Bergamaschi (Italy)

Sprinter Andrea Minasso took victories in 4 stages, which is still the most in a single edition of the TdH (together with László Vida in 1928). The General Classification was won by another Italian though. In Stage 2, Vasco Bergamaschi went into a breakaway with the local legend, László Vida (BSE) and János Peck (Postás). The peloton couldn't come close to them as Vida won his 8th (and final) stage in the Tour de Hongrie, while the others arrived at Hódmezővásárhely almost half an hour later. The lead was enough for Bergamaschi, who kept it until the end of the race.

However, Bergamaschi achieved his biggest success 5 years later: he won two stages and the Maglia Rosa in 1935 at the Giro d'Italia!
