An incredible achivement from László Vida - the Hungarian rider won everything in the 2nd Tour de Hongrie, including all of the stages and the General Classification!
This was the first edition of the race that was officially called "Tour de Hongrie" (the first one was branded as Magyar Kerékpáros Körverseny, which roughly translates the same). The Hungarian Cycling Federation was very proud, that the fastest rider of the race finished the 554 km long stage race in just 20 hours, with an average speed of 28 km/h. This was faster, than some stages of the Tour de France at the time.
Stage winner:
Stage 1 (Budapest-Debrecen, 221 km): László Vida (Hungarian, BTC)
Stage 2 (Debrecen-Miskolc, 142 km): László Vida (Hungarian, BTC)
Stage 3 (Miskolc-Budapest, 191 km): László Vida (Hungarian, BTC)
General Classification:
1. László Vida (Hungarian, BTC) 20:05:25
2. Károly Hölczl (Hungarian, Világosság KK) 20:18:50 (+13:25)
3. József Bouska I. (Hungarian, JKK) 20:19:19 (+13:54)
